"When young people are trusted with opportunity, extraordinary things happen."
That spirit defined the Young Founders School Gala 2025, held on August 30, 2025, with support from Singapore Global Network. The evening brought together mentors, partners, students, and supporters to celebrate a year of bold progress and a growing movement for youth entrepreneurship.
Powerful Voices on a Shared Mission
The night opened with a keynote by Jonathan Lim, whose message centered on creating pathways for young people to lead in an AI-shaped economy. Billy Naveed followed with a call to action: if we want future-ready societies, we must start by giving students real exposure, real networks, and real trust.
A Year of Tangible Progress
2025 marked major momentum for YFS. The organization has now reached over 23,000 students and facilitated more than 1,000 internships. Year-over-year growth accelerated to 800% in student participation and 300% in partner engagement. The gala also celebrated SGD 500,000 raised to expand access and deepen programming quality.
Student Stories That Moved the Room
Fardeen Khan shared how Nabik Automations responded to flood challenges in Bangladesh, proving that young founders can build practical solutions in moments of crisis. James Zheng presented UEB Math Scribe and reflected on losing his sight at age 14, then channeling that experience into a product that improves access and learning for others.
